| In A.D. 26, a prophet named John, who we

|
| know as John the Baptist, began preaching
| |
| | John notes that these things happened so
|
| in the Desert of Judah, "Repent for the
| |
| | that the scriptures would be fulfilled:
|
| kingdom of heaven is near." (Matthew
| |
| | "Not one of his bones will be broken."
|
| 3:1-2) Quoting the words of Isaiah he

| |

| |
| | A rich man from Arimathea named Joseph,
|
| Jesus of Nazareth
| |

|
| Later on in that same year, another young
| |

|
| Opening the scroll, he found the passage
| |
| | Spiritual Kingdom
|
| (Luke 4:18-19 quoting Isaiah 61:1-2):
| |
| | But what about the promised kingdom? When
|
| The spirit of the Lord is on me,because

| |

|
| proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.
| |

|
| He read it, rolled up the scroll, gave it
| |
| | Jesus himself answers the question. When

|
| Prophecies Fulfilled
| |
| | Clearly Jesus is talking about something
|
| Place of birth, Time of Birth, and
| |
| | beyond the physical realm here. He is
|
| Ancestry
| |
| | speaking of a spiritual kingdom. Paul
|
| Just who is this young man? His name is
| |
| | confirms this in his letter to the

|
| trace his genealogy back to King David,
| |
| | Spreading the Kingdom

| his father Jesse, and on back to Judah,
| |
| | After his resurrection, Jesus tells us:
|
| Jacob, Isaac, and Abraham. (Matthew
| |
| | "All authority in heaven and on earth has

|
| Other Fulfilled Prophecies
| |

| As you can see, Jesus' place of birth,
| |

|
| Well now, this Jesus does sound
